Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Savannah is seeking a Nurse Manager-Registered Nurse (RN) to lead designated nursing units on a 24-hour basis. Under the CNO, you will guide, plan, and direct hospital activities, ensure quality patient care, and coordinate staffing to meet outcomes.

Requires RN licensure, at least 3 years of clinical leadership, 1 year of management experience, BLS certification, and ACLS within 6 months of hire. A BSN is preferred to elevate the role.

Qualifications

• Requires current RN licensure.
• At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership.
• 1 year of previous management experience.
• Possess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Guiding, planning and directing hospital activities with ongoing assessment of the quality and efficiency of these activities.
• Assessing patient care needs and coordinating the appropriate assignment of nursing staff in order to facilitate patient attainment of expected outcomes.
• Coordinating schedules for nursing staff assigned to the area of responsibility.
• Assisting with establishing and maintaining communication channels with medical staff and other departments within the hospital.
• Participating in budgetary formulation and cost containment for areas of responsibility.
• Maintaining effective utilization of manpower, equipment and supplies.
• Assessing the need for and assisting in implementation of staff education and clinical development programs.
• Assuming all administrative responsibilities on the unit on designated shifts.
• Supervising the overall nursing care performance, maintaining quality patient care and providing staff assessments with written evaluations at designated intervals.
