Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, is seeking a full-time Nurse Manager for the Med Surg/Neuro unit. The role requires a BSN and current Florida RN licensure, with a Master’s degree preferred.

This leadership position oversees clinical activities, manages nursing staff, and collaborates on budget and quality initiatives. The Nurse Manager will supervise and develop staff, ensure service excellence, and drive evidence-based practice across the unit.

• Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN degree, required.
• Master's degree, preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour responsibility directing and coordinating unit activities.
• Directs, supervises, and evaluates nursing staff performance.
• Contributes to staff development and quality improvement efforts.
• Plans and administers annual budget with the Director of Nursing.
• Integrates evidence-based practice using the nursing process.
• Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position Summary:
The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility in directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of Unit. The Nurse Manager directs, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department. The Nurse Manager plans and administers the annual budget in collaboration with the Director, Nursing. The Nurse Manager integrates evidence-based practice utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Job Information:

• This opportunity is for a full-time days Nurse Manager position over the Med Surg/Neuro unit
• Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience, required
• Minimum of three (3) years of progressive management experience, required
