Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, FL, seeks a Nurse Manager for the Med Surg/Neuro unit. The role requires at least two years of nursing experience and three years of progressive management experience.

The Nurse Manager will supervise staff, manage budgets, and lead quality improvement initiatives to ensure exceptional patient care and service excellence within a renowned hospital system.

Qualifications

• Graduation from Accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• Current BLS through American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the clinical activities and operations of the unit.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate nursing staff.
• Develop and support staff through ongoing education and quality improvement.
• Plan and administer the annual budget with the Director of Nursing.
• Promote evidence-based practice and service excellence.

Manatee Memorial Hospital in Bradenton, Florida, has served the citizens of Manatee, Sarasota and surrounding counties for over 70 years. The 295-bed hospital with over 800 physicians, residents and allied health professionals, offers advanced healthcare services in a caring and compassionate environment. The Nurse Manager assumes 24-hour responsibility in directing and coordinating the clinical activities and operations of Unit. The Nurse Manager directs, supervises, and evaluates the performance of the nursing staff, contributes to the development of a fully qualified and continuously improving staff, and supports work redesign and quality improvement within the department. The Nurse Manager plans and administers the annual budget in collaboration with the Director, Nursing. The Nurse Manager integrates evidence-based practice utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.
