The Manager of Emergency Department is responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of all activities, assuming 24-hour administrative responsibility for all nursing service functions within the Emergency Department.
Supervises, assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the delivery of patient care. Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current regulations. Supervises and evaluates all personnel assigned to the unit, effectively utilizing nursing personnel, and manages time responsibilities for the unit. Is directly accountable to the CNO/DON. Communicates effectively with staff, physicians, and administration both in writing and verbally. Interacts with physicians, hospital staff, outside agencies, patients, and their families/significant others to provide comprehensive care.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, including wages, benefits, and other compensation, ranges from $104,228.80 to $140,275.20 annually. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of hire, considering factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
