Job summary

Mental Health Resource Center, Inc. in Jacksonville seeks a Nurse Manager for the psychiatric adult crisis stabilization unit at our Southside facility. The unit provides emergency psychiatric services, with most patients admitted involuntarily under the Baker Act.

The Nurse Manager will lead clinical practice, maintain quality patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, and supervise staff 24/7. This fast-paced unit requires teamwork and a commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Nursing; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three years of nursing and supervisory experience; behavioral health required.
• Florida RN license required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet.
• Proficiency in MHRC EHR system within three months.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains patient care and unit programming with the treatment team.
• Supervises nursing staff and ensures safe medication administration.
• Coordinates continuity of care between shifts.
• Participates in quality improvement and infection control initiatives.
