Job summary

The Ohio State University Medical Center is seeking a Nurse Manager for Progressive Care Unit to lead a team of professional care providers and foster collaboration, enthusiasm, and mutual respect in a patient-centered environment.

The role focuses on planning, organizing, and evaluating patient care operations 24/7, advancing goals, coaching staff, and driving cost-effective care while improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in nursing required; Masters preferred.
• Current Ohio RN license.
• Minimum of three years RN clinical experience and two years management experience in relevant care setting.
• Certification in nursing administration or area of clinical expertise; or certification must be achieved within the timeline of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversees plans, organizes, manages and evaluates patient care operations for a designated area on a 24-hour basis as needed.
• Plans and develops strategic short, mid- and long-term goals to enhance unit operations.
• Manages, coaches, and evaluates the work performance of patient care staff in a designated area.
• Develops and manages unit budget plans and cost-saving initiatives.
