Job summary

McIntosh Trail Community Service Board is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead the CSU/CSU and Temp Obs units. The role oversees clinical programs, staff schedules, and ensures compliance with state and accrediting guidelines.

The ideal candidate is a Georgia-licensed RN, preferably with a BSN, with experience in inpatient mental health and proficient in electronic health records. Strong leadership, coordination with medical teams, and ongoing staff education are essential.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Georgia; BSN preferred.
• Experience in mental health, especially inpatient.
• Experience documenting in an electronic health record (EHR).

Responsibilities

• Creates schedules to ensure coverage compliant with state and accrediting guidelines.
• Covers nursing shifts on the unit when needed.
• Coordinates with medical/clinical providers and administrative staff.
• Performs assurance activities to ensure services are adequate and accessible.
• Maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
• Provides ongoing staff education via meetings, training, and communications.
• Supervises nursing staff and ensures unit efficiency.
• Assists Director in ensuring guidelines are followed.
• Monitors infection control, medication administration, and documentation for accuracy.
• Assists Director in reviewing and updating policies.

Summary

Manages the clinical programs, staff (Health Aide, LPN, RN and service delivery) of crisis stabilization unit.

Responsibilities

• Creates schedules to ensure coverage that is in compliance with State and other accrediting body guidelines, and approves timesheets.
• Covers some nursing shifts on the unit when needed.
• Coordinates with medical and clinical providers, administrative staff, and other agency programs or community stakeholders to coordinate care and operations.
• Performs assurance activities to ensure that services are adequate, appropriate, and accessible in the community.
• Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Provides ongoing education via staff meetings, classes, one-on-one training, emails, and other sources when deemed appropriate to ensure all staff in CSU, CSC, and Temp Obs are adequately trained and competent.
• Provides supervision to nursing staff and ensures CSU, CSC, and Temp Obs are running efficiently.
• Assists Director in ensuring all State, Federal, and applicable guidelines are being followed.
• Monitors infection control, medication administration, and documentation for thoroughness and accuracy.
• Assists Director in reviewing and updating policies.

Minimum Qualifications

• Licensed in the state of Georgia as a Registered Nurse. Preference will be given to applicants with a BSN. Experience in mental health, particularly in inpatient settings. Experience documenting in an electronic health record.
