Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required).
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
  • Current New York State RN license.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • 3–5 years of progressively responsible nursing leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership in patient care, quality improvement, and unit-based outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement short- and long-term departmental goals aligned with hospital priorities.
  • Recruit, mentor, develop, and retain nursing staff while ensuring staffing levels and competencies.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing resources, productivity, and cost-control initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, Joint Commission, Department of Health, CMS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Promote patient, employee, and physician satisfaction by addressing concerns and implementing improvements.
