Job summary

HCA Healthcare’s Medical City Plano is seeking a Nurse Manager of Endoscopy to lead a dedicated team in a high-volume endoscopy service. The role emphasizes evidence-based practice, autonomous nursing, and strong leadership in a complex clinical setting.

Qualified candidates hold a BSN (MSN preferred), Texas RN licensure (compact allowed), and at least 2 years in nursing management. A national specialty certification or plan to obtain within a year is encouraged.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN or Masters Degree in related field preferred.
• Texas State RN license required; Compact license accepted.
• National Specialty Certification or plan to achieve within 1 year of hire.
• BLS/ACLS as required by department.
• Minimum 2 years in a nursing management position.

• Provide 24/7 accountability for a defined patient care area.
• Lead autonomous nursing practice using evidence-based care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• The Nurse Manager of Endoscopy has 24/7 accountability and responsibility for a defined patient care area to provide a climate optimal for the provision of individualized goal directed nursing care that supports the mission, vision and values of Medical City Plano and the philosophy of the Department of Nursing.
• The Nurse Manager is expected to provide an environment where nurses practice autonomously utilizing evidence-based practices.
• The Nurse Manager is responsible for planning and providing individual goal-directed nursing care that promotes, advocates for and supports the nursing staff’s primary commitment to protect the health, safety, and rights of the individual, family or community.

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

• BSN required; MSN or Masters Degree in related field preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Texas State RN license required. Compact license is accepted.
• National Specialty Certification or plan to achieve within 1 year of hire.
• BLS/ACLS as required by individual department.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years in a nursing management position.
