Job summary

Medical City Plano is seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to plan and provide patient-centered, goal-directed care, advocate for patients, and coordinate multidisciplinary care. The RN will practice autonomously using evidence-based methods in a high-acuity obstetric setting.

Required are BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation within designated timelines, and AWHONN guidance where applicable. A Texas RN license or compact licensure is required, with BSN/MSN preferred; 1+ year in L&D/ICU/ER

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation must be obtained within specified timeframes.
• Texas RN license or compact licensure is required.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN/MSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in L&D, ICU or ER.

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide individual goal-directed nursing care that promotes health and safety of patients and families.
• Coordinate care and practice autonomously using evidence-based nursing care.
• Support the mission and values of Medical City Plano and the Nursing Department.
