Job Summary and Qualifications
- The Manager of Occupational and Employee Health supervises services to promote employee wellness, maintain productivity, reduce absenteeism, and control costs.
- Administers policies, procedures, and guidelines to align the workforce with strategic goals related to employee health and safety.
- Plans, implements, and evaluates systems and programs to meet occupational needs of facilities and patients.
- Investigates exposures, injuries, near misses, and hazardous conditions, taking appropriate actions.
- Oversees pre-employment and annual health screenings, immunizations, and injury reports.
- Manages workers' compensation claims and communicates with departments regarding employee status.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintains accurate logs, reports, employee files, and databases.
- Supports accreditation and benchmarking efforts.
- Participates in orientation and ongoing education to promote health and safety awareness.
- Collaborates with departments and committees related to employee health and safety.
- Acts as liaison with legal, governmental, and regulatory agencies.
- Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to the organization's code of conduct and values.
Qualifications Needed:
Education and Experience:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (required).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
- At least 2 years of nursing experience (required).
- Experience in Employee Health or management (preferred).
Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN license in the state(s) of practice or active compact license.
- BLS certification.
