This is a full-time, day-shift leadership role responsible for planning, directing and managing the nursing care for a designated patient population on one or more units. The successful candidate will oversee staffing, budget, professional practice, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
• California RN license required at hire.
• BLS certification required at hire; national specialty certification within 1 year.
• 5 years of recent experience in acute hospital setting.
• Strong computer and clinical leadership skills.
• Preferred: Master's in nursing and supervisory experience.

Nurse Manager- NICU at Providence St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This position will work Full Time, 8-hour Day shifts.

Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units. Oversees the 24-operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, practice guidelines for specialty, organizing and controlling. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 1 year of hire: National specialty certification
• 5 years of Recent experience in acute hospital setting.
• Computer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in nursing or related field.
• Supervisory experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
