Providence St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Nurse Manager for the NICU. This full-time role supports day shifts and drives quality patient care across a designated NICU population.

The ideal candidate has strong NICU leadership experience, California RN licensure, and a track record in budgeting and staff development within an acute hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold a California RN license at time of hire.
• Minimum five years of recent acute hospital experience.
• Current BLS certification at time of hire.
• Within 1 year: national specialty certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and manage nursing care for NICU patients.
• Oversee unit operations, staffing, budgeting and fiscal management.

Nurse Manager- NICU at Providence St Jude Medical Center in Fullerton, CA. This position will work Full Time, 8-hour Day shifts.

Provides an optimal practice environment that ensures the delivery of quality patient care. Responsible for planning, directing and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units. Oversees the 24-operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, practice guidelines for specialty, organizing and controlling. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Within 1 year of hire: National specialty certification
• 5 years of Recent experience in acute hospital setting.
• Computer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing or related field.
• Supervisory experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
