Overlake Medical Center & Clinics in Bellevue, WA is seeking an experienced NICU Nurse Manager to lead a Level III NICU team in a high-acuity, family-centered environment.

You will partner with neonatologists, supervisors, and clinical staff to deliver exceptional patient outcomes, staff development, and regulatory compliance while overseeing daily operations, budgeting, and strategic initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in nursing is required.
• Current WA RN license required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• RNC-NIC certification preferred.
• Minimum four (4) years of NICU clinical experience.
• Minimum two (2) years of NICU managerial experience.

Overlake Medical Center & Clinics has an exciting leadership opportunity for an experienced NICU leader.

Position Summary

The NICU Nurse Manager works in partnership with a dedicated unit supervisor, neonatologists, advance practice providers, and clinical staff to deliver excellence in patient care, quality outcomes, and patient safety. You will assist with the daily operational oversight of the unit to ensure departmental goals, regulatory standards, and patient care expectations are achieved.

The Nurse Manager provides operational, clinical, financial, and strategic leadership for a high-acuity, family-centered inpatient unit. This leader is accountable for ensuring exceptional patient outcomes, outstanding patient and employee experiences, regulatory compliance, fiscal stewardship, and achievement of organizational quality and safety goals.

Overlake's Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is an 18-bed unit dedicated to providing specialized care for premature and critically ill newborns. The unit consists of a 13-bed primary NICU with private patient rooms and an overflow area with semi-private rooms, supporting a family-centered care environment and advanced neonatal services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington required.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
• RNC-NIC certification preferred.
• Minimum of four (4) years of recent clinical experience required - in a Level III or higher neonatal intensive care setting desired.
• Minimum of two (2) years of prior managerial experience in a NICU strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage patient flow, coordinate resources, and support staff development.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Computer proficiency required.
