The role emphasizes collaboration with nursing leadership, staff development, and adherence to evidence-based practice. BSN is required; MSN preferred; NC RN license with BLS; national certification within 1 year is expected.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent (ADN with MSN, BA with MSN)
• Current RN license in NC; eNLC may apply
• National Certification in area of specialty within 1 year of accepting role
• BLS Healthcare Provider
• Minimum five years of nursing experience; 2 years in relevant clinical hospital leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of designated clinical area – 5 Heart, Medical Cardiology Step Down unit (40 beds, co-managed).
• Coordinate staffing, resources, and workflows to ensure safe, quality patient care.
• Promote evidence-based practice and professional development among staff.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership on planning, initiatives, and performance evaluation.
• Recruit, onboard, and support new employees to sustain Mission Health culture.
