St. Mary\'s Hospital - Kankakee is recruiting a Manager of Med/Surg - Telemetry. This RN-led role provides 24-hour administrative oversight of nursing services, ensuring high-quality patient care across the Med/Surg Telemetry units.

The position requires an RN license, BLS, ACLS, and a BSN (post-2021 requirement), with at least two years of supervisory experience and three years of acute clinical care.

Qualifications

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum of three years of continuous clinical experience in a clinical/acute care setting.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for all nursing service functions in Med/Surg Telemetry.
• Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care delivery.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Supervises personnel and communicates effectively with staff, physicians and administration.
