Job summary

Universal Health Services—Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC—seeks an experienced Nurse Manager for Labor & Delivery/Postpartum. You will lead clinical and operational aspects, oversee staffing, patient safety, quality outcomes, and patient experience, and partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality maternal and newborn care.

The role requires a BSN, 5+ years of progressive nursing experience with leadership, DC RN license, BLS, and NRP; MSN or

Qualifications

• BSN is required.
• MSN or Healthcare Administration degree preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive professional nursing experience.
• Significant experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum/Mother-Baby or related areas.
• Current DC RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• NRP certification required.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, productivity, budget, and patient flow.
• Monitor quality, safety and patient experience outcomes with continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to advance care.
• Foster teamwork, staff development and a culture of excellence.
