Baystate Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Labor and Delivery (L&D) and High Risk Antepartum unit at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA. The role focuses on shaping nursing practice, supporting team growth, and delivering evidence-based care for maternal and fetal safety.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice nursing in Massachusetts.
Current BLS certification (AHA).
Bachelor's degree in Nursing.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain staffing plans, schedules, and assignments.
Conduct staff performance management, coaching, feedback, and competency validation.
Manage departmental budgets, supplies, equipment, and resources.
Establish and monitor department goals, workflows, and performance metrics.
Coordinate orientation, onboarding, and ongoing education for team members.
Partner with Human Resources, nursing leadership, medical staff, and other departments to resolve operational and employee-related issues.
Lead process improvement initiatives, ensuring effective implementation and sustained results.
Respond to patient, family, and staff concerns, promoting timely resolution and service recovery.
