Job summary

This ICU Nurse Manager role leads a high-performing ICU team in a nationally recognized hospital in Southern California. You will drive operational excellence, staffing optimization, and a culture of safety and evidence-based care.

You will mentor nurses, develop staff, collaborate with physicians and allied professionals, and oversee quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes. California RN license and ICU leadership are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.
• Current California RN license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• ICU nursing experience required.
• Leadership experience as a manager, supervisor, or charge nurse.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of a high-performing Intensive Care Unit.
• Ensure appropriate staffing, resource utilization, and patient care support.
• Coach, mentor, and develop nursing team members.
• Serve as a clinical resource and promote evidence-based nursing practices.
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and regulatory standards.
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Manage department workflows, supplies, equipment, and operational needs.
• Promote a positive culture of accountability, teamwork, and excellence.
