Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As an ICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing specialized care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit. Your expertise and attention to detail will be instrumental in monitoring, assessing, and delivering exceptional care to patients with life‑threatening conditions. As an advocate for patient well‑being, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

Patient Assessment and Monitoring:

  • Conduct comprehensive and ongoing assessments of critically ill patients.
  • Monitor vital signs, interpret lab results, and assess the patient's response to treatment.
  • Recognize early signs of deterioration and promptly elevate to the healthcare team.

Care Planning and Implementation:

  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans for patients.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, managing ventilators, and assisting with advanced life support measures.
  • Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients and their families during challenging times.
  • Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights, dignity, and preferences are respected.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare providers, to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Communicate effectively to ensure the continuity of care and the best possible outcomes for patients.

Emergency Response:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling medical emergencies and promptly initiating life‑saving interventions.
  • Maintain composure and efficiency in high‑stress situations.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and potential outcomes.
  • Provide information on post‑discharge care and self‑management to promote long‑term well‑being.

Documentation and Compliance:

  • Accurately record patient assessments, interventions, and responses in medical records.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and industry standards to maintain a safe and compliant environment.

Working Environment: As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will work in a hospital setting, primarily within the Intensive Care Unit. The role may involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to ensure 24/7 patient care coverage.
