Provides clinical and administrative support through the management and direction of CNS, NP, and secretarial support staff specific to the psychiatric divisions.

Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Responsible for the operational and clinical management of a designated patient care unit(s) on a 24-hour basis. Oversees a span of control and financial responsibility of > 72 FTEs supervised + > $2.5 million in total expenses OR > 40 FTEs supervised + > $5 million in total expenses.

Responsibilities

  1. Manages staff including hiring, training, assigning work, managing & evaluating performance, and conducting professional development plans. Ensures team productivity supports the department's operational goals.
  2. Develops and adheres to staffing, revenue, and expense budgets. Responds to business changes affecting budget achievement.
  3. Directs the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care based on evidence-based practices.
  4. Ensures team compliance with policies, regulations, and professional standards; updates policies as needed.
  5. Promotes and is accountable for customer satisfaction, quality improvement, and outcome measures.
  6. Researches and implements systems to improve work unit efficiency.
  7. Supports growth of existing or new business/programs.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing

Experience

  • 2-5 years

Supervisor Experience

  • < 2 years

Licenses & Certifications

  • RN

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • 5-10 years of experience
  • 2-5 years of supervisor experience
