Responsibilities

• Coordinate performance and compliance with patient safety initiatives and accrediting bodies.
• Collaborate with provider leadership to develop and implement department strategies.
• Lead the achievement of goals and implement action plans to improve performance.
• Demonstrate cost-effective use of resources to meet department financial goals.
• Work with leadership to develop and submit operating and capital budget requests.
• Participate in interdisciplinary committees and drive care excellence.
• Create a culture for caregivers that supports efficient, safe, compassionate care.
• Holds caregivers accountable for outcomes using patient satisfaction metrics and benchmarks.
• Manage department human resources including hiring, reviews, staff development, retention, and disciplinary actions.
• Ensure caregiver competency documentation and training are maintained.
• Provide clear communication through rounds, huddles, and meetings.
