Harris Health seeks a Nurse Manager for the Home Division to lead home-based care programs within the Care Transition & Integration pavilion. You will drive clinical nursing operations, quality, and financial management across Hospital at Home and House Calls, ensuring high standards and regulatory compliance.

The role requires RN licensure in Texas, leadership experience, and strong communication; Spanish is a plus. Flexible/on-call responsibilities and telecommute eligibility may be involved.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse: current Texas license and active registration.
• Basic Life Support certification (AHA/ARC).
• Nursing specialty or administration certification preferred within 2 years.
• Texas Driver's License current and unencumbered.
• Five years in a complex healthcare environment; case management preferred.
• One year of healthcare leadership or charge nurse experience.
• Spanish language skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical nursing within Home Division (Hospital at Home and House Calls).
• Manage operations, HR, quality and finances for nursing services.
• Ensure regulatory and practice standards compliance across CTI Home Division.
• Maintain clinical competency and provide direct patient care when needed.
• Support nurses to deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager, Home Division (NMHD) will be spearheading Harris Health's vision to lead the way in delivering care outside of the boundaries of a traditional brick and mortar health system but within a patient's home. This role will be accountable for all aspects of clinical nursing within the Home Division of Care Transition & Integration (CTI) pavilion. The Home Division includes both Hospital at Home, which provides inpatient level care, and House Calls Program, which provides ambulatory level care within patients' homes.

The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to, all aspects of operational, human resource, quality, and financial management of nursing within these Home Division programs. The NMHD will work collaboratively with the Home Division and CTI leadership to ensure Home Division's clinical nursing team meets and maintains appropriate regulatory, compliance, and practice standards as set forth by Harris Health and other Nursing governing bodies.

This position will maintain clinical competency in areas under his or her direct oversight and when necessary, provide direct and high-quality patient care to the patient population within the framework of the Home Division. This may include observing and recording patient behavior, performing physical exams and diagnostic tests, educating patients and families on treatment plans, administering medication, managing wound care, and consulting with supervisors and doctors on treatment decisions, especially in challenging circumstances. The NMHD is responsible for facilitating an environment that supports professional nursing practice and empowers nurses to provide safe, effective, compassionate, and efficient, patient-focused nursing care.

Degrees

• Master of Science in Nursing from an Accredited Nursing Program, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or Public Administration

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse: current, valid registration to practice in the State of Texas.
• Basic Life Support: from approved American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Program.
• Certificate: in a nursing specialty and/or nursing administration is required within 2 years of appointment. Other certificates as required by unit/service. ( Preferred)
• Texas Drivers License: Current and unencumbered.

Work Experience

• Five (5) years' experience with complex healthcare environment including the acute care setting; case management experience is preferred.

Management Experience

• One (1) Year of Experience with Healthcare Leadership or Charge Nurse experience
