Qualifications

• Must be a RN or LPN licensed in the state of employment.
• Genuine interest in geriatric nursing and long-term care.
• Ability to supervise and coach nursing staff with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Wound Care program.
• Promote census growth and monitor facility success.
• Make rounds and confer with nursing staff to monitor resident care.
• Report changes in resident conditions to the Administrative Office.
• Collaborate with department heads and consultants (dietary, pharmacy, therapy).
• Supervise nursing personnel across all shifts.
• Assist with in-service education, staff meetings, and orientation.
• Review and update nursing care plans.
• Follow directives from the DON and provide written reports during their absence.
• Conduct monthly surveys on resident care status and compile reports.
