Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital is seeking a qualified Nurse Manager to lead the Float Pool and Centralized Staffing Operations. The role oversees clinical, operational, and strategic staffing, driving safe coverage and optimal resource use while enhancing colleague experience across multiple care areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the State of Connecticut.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Minimum three (3) years of progressive nursing leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience in staffing, scheduling, workforce management, or operational nursing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Direct management and supervision of Float Pool colleagues.
• Accountability for hiring, coaching, performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning.
• Management of staffing resources, schedules, staffing systems, and labor optimization initiatives.
• Development and implementation of departmental goals aligned with organizational priorities.
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care delivery across multiple service lines.
• Financial management including labor productivity, budgeting, overtime reduction, and resource stewardship.
