Job summary

Backus Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) to lead the 24-hour planning, organizing, directing and evaluation of clinical, administrative and operational activities in the assigned department(s). You will oversee nursing practice, safety, performance improvement and regulatory compliance with a focus on quality and patient experience.

Under the Nursing Director, you will mentor staff, manage staffing and budgets, and drive professional development across teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in clinical practice.
• Minimum 2 years of progressive leadership experience required.
• BLS provider credentialed from AHA.
• Certification in specialty area required within 3 years of start date.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate 24-hour operations for assigned department(s).
• Oversee clinical and safety practices, leadership, HR, financial performance and performance improvement.
• Ensure regulatory/compliance adherence and quality outcomes across the unit.
