Job summary

Medical City North Hills is a 165+ bed hospital located in the heart of northeast Tarrant County. We are seeking a Nurse Manager Emergency Services to lead the unit and uphold high standards of patient care.

You will plan, organize and direct unit activities, evaluate staff performance, and coordinate with other departments. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, Texas RN license (or compact), ACLS within 30 days, and PALS/ENPC within 1 year after hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing experience, one in related clinical area.
• Current license as a professional nurse (Texas RN license or compact).
• Bachelors Degree required.
• ACLS within 30 days of start date; PALS and ENPC within 1 year after hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize by setting goals and objectives, and direct all unit activities in the designated patient care unit.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of staff and unit performance.
• Coordinate unit activities with other departments to ensure quality care.

Job Summary And Qualifications

In accordance with nursing standards, JCAHO, Medicare, and all other applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations, the Manager has the responsibility to plan, organize by setting goals and objectives, and direct all unit activities by assuming responsibility for the nursing care given on a designated patient care unit. In addition, the Manager evaluates the effectiveness of the staff and unit performance and coordinates the unit activities with other departments. Accountability for the specific operational and personnel activities is assumed.

What qualifications you will need:

• Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing experience, one of which is in the related clinical area.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PALS, ENPC and ACLE required within 1 year after hire.
• Current license as a professional nurse. Texas State RN license or compact license is required.
• Bachelors Degree required.
