Job summary

The role requires a BSN, NY RN license, 5+ years ED experience, and 3+ years in nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.
• Current New York State RN license.
• 5+ years Emergency Department clinical experience.
• 3+ years nursing leadership or management experience preferred.
• Specialty certification such as CEN preferred or a commitment to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily operations of a busy Emergency Department, ensuring safe, high-quality, and efficient patient care.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence.
• Mentor, coach, and develop nursing staff while promoting professional growth and succession planning.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, recruitment, retention, and workforce planning to meet the demands of a dynamic emergency care environment.
• Ensure compliance with New York State regulations, accreditation standards, and evidence-based nursing practice.
• Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams to improve patient flow, throughput, and clinical outcomes.
• Lead quality improvement, patient safety, and performance initiatives focused on emergency care.
• Support emergency preparedness, regulatory readiness, and operational excellence.

Montefiore Einstein seeking a Nurse Manager – Emergency Department to lead a high-performing team dedicated to delivering exceptional emergency care every day.

In this leadership role, you'll oversee the clinical and operational management of the Emergency Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and patient-centered care while supporting and developing a team of exceptional nurses. You'll partner with executive nursing leadership to drive quality outcomes, strengthen workforce engagement, and advance nursing excellence across the department.

• Strong clinical judgment, operational leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Passion for developing people, improving processes, and delivering exceptional patient care

Salary: $$150,000 to $200,000.00
