St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT, is seeking an Assistant Nursing Manager to supervise patient care, clinical staff and unit operations. You will support the hospital's strategic goals, ensure safe and efficient care, and lead performance improvement initiatives.

The role requires an RN with BSN, CT licensure, and at least 2 years of acute care experience; supervisory experience is preferred and a Master’s degree is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Existing CT RN license; BLS required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 2 years acute care nursing experience required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of QA/PI and LEAN desirable.

Responsabilités

• Adjust staffing to reflect changes in care requirements and census.
• Coach and develop colleagues; manage performance, payroll, and discipline as needed.
• Manage staffing schedule and payroll attendance.
• Ensure Joint Commission and regulatory compliance through rounds and audits.
• Investigate patient concerns; monitor KPI and safety exposures.
• Communicate department decisions and policies to colleagues; cascade information.
• Participate on department and hospital committees; lead improvement projects.
• Perform other related responsibilities as required.
