Job summary

Semmes Murphey Clinic's Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) is hiring a Nurse Manager. You will utilize your strong clinical judgement and administrative skills in equal parts to manage day-to-day operations and maintain quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.

This is a full-time, onsite role open Monday to Friday with a focus on staffing, recruitment, coaching, and coordination of physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing staff and ancillary personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is required.
• Five years of nursing experience.
• Two years supervisory experience.
• Current RN license in Tennessee or a compact state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate staffing levels for daily procedural volume and operational needs.
• Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and orientation schedules for new employees.
• Address employee relations concerns and provide coaching and guidance to staff.
• Serve as the primary clinical and operational resource for physicians, anesthesia providers, nursing staff, and ancillary personnel.
• Lead staff meetings and safety huddles; communicate organizational changes to staff.
• Provide clinical guidance for complex patient cases and ensure escalation of concerns.
• Monitor equipment, supply inventory, and resource utilization.
• Maintain readiness for regulatory and accreditation surveys; participate in audits and compliance reviews.
• Address deficiencies identified through audits and quality reviews.
