Western North Carolina Community Health Services seeks an experienced Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team across Asheville, Candler, and Marion. The role balances hands-on patient care (about 15–20%) with extensive operations management (75–80%), translating priorities into clear staff expectations.

The successful candidate will mentor staff, drive workflow improvements, and use data to improve productivity, quality, and patient care, while ensuring compliance with RN licensure and hospital

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a nursing team in ambulatory or community health settings.
• Experience with performance management and coaching for staff.
• Ability to analyze workflows and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership to the nursing team with clear priorities and accountability.
• Evaluate nursing workflows and staffing to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
• Strengthen support for providers by optimizing how nursing work is organized.
• Coach and develop employees with meaningful feedback and targeted growth.
• Develop and monitor performance metrics tied to quality, productivity and outcomes.
• Use data to drive decisions and improvements across nursing operations.
• Identify opportunities to redesign work and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Lead change efforts, communicating rationale and ensuring measurable results.
