Supervises: CNA Trainee, CNA, SR CNA, LPN, RN, Unit Clerk
Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited Registered Professional Nurse Program.
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or related field, or a Master's in Nursing or related field.
License/Certifications: Current NYS License to practice as a Professional Registered Nurse.
Minimum Experience: 2 Years of Nursing Experience or LTC experience.
Preferred Experience: Previous management/leadership experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of management systems and processes, ability to lead and develop effective work relationships, analytical and project management skills, familiarity with DOH requirements, computer literacy including MS Office and Meditech.
Customer Focus: Demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, safety, dignity, respect, and promotes a healing environment.
Population Specific Requirements: Ability to provide age-appropriate care, understanding of growth and development principles, and ability to assess patient data accordingly.
Exposure Control Classification: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, involving potential contact with blood, body fluids, and tissues.
The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring quality care, patient safety, staff development, resource allocation, and effective interdisciplinary communication. Responsibilities include recruitment, staff development, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Skills and Certifications: 2 years of nursing or LTC experience, current NYS RN license, and at least 2 years of managerial experience in LTC setting.
