Job summary

Longleaf Surgery Center in New Port Richey, FL is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to join our team. The Nurse Manager provides leadership and oversight of daily clinical and nursing operations within the surgery center, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care and efficient operations.

Responsibilities include leading nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, coordinating staffing and education, collaborating with physicians and anesthesia, and driving quality and patient safety

Qualifications

  • Current Florida RN license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
  • Perioperative, ambulatory surgery, or acute-care experience required.
  • Clinical leadership or management experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Current BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred as applicable.

Required Skills:
Qualifications
  • Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas.
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • Three years of operating room/critical care experience preferred.
  • Two years supervisory experience in the outpatient surgery area a plus.
  • Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients and others.
  • The knowledge, skills, and abilities of a Staff Nurse are required for this position.
