Job summary

AdviniaCare Newburyport is seeking an exceptional Unit Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our 111-bed facility in Newburyport, MA. As Unit Manager, you will lead nursing staff, ensure high-quality resident care, and maintain regulatory compliance.

Requirements include 3–5 years of leadership experience, an active MA RN or LPN license in good standing, and the ability to work 40 hours per week with occasional evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• RN preferred with 3–5 years of leadership in a clinical setting.

• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri with occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing operations, staffing, scheduling, and patient care assignments.
• Develop and implement care plans with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure adherence to facility policies, procedures, and state/federal regulations.
• Conduct rounds and guide staff to maintain high quality care.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations.
• Collaborate with management to identify improvements and resolve concerns.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily nursing operations, including staffing, scheduling, and patient care assignments
• Develop and implement effective care plans, in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Ensure adherence to facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct regular rounds, observing patient care and providing guidance and feedback to staff
• Participate in on-call rotation to support the facility's 24/7 operations
• Collaborate with the management team to identify and resolve concerns, and implement process improvements

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
• 3-5 years of experience, with a strong desire to lead and learn.
• Currently holds an active RN or LPN license in the state of MA, that is also in good standings.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, with occasional evenings and weekends
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Compassionate and respectful approach to patient care and staff management
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
