Job summary

Pyramid Healthcare in Radford, VA is seeking an LPN to provide hands-on nursing care to individuals in our New River Valley Inpatient program. You’ll work with an experienced interdisciplinary team and deliver nursing assessments, medication administration, and clinical support during the 7:00 PM–7:00 AM shift.

This per diem, as-needed role emphasizes recovery, stability, and compassionate care for clients with substance use disorders and behavioral health concerns.

Qualifications

Current, active LPN license in Virginia.
Experience in behavioral health is a plus.
Comfort with per diem shifts and inpatient care.

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care and clinical support in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
Complete nursing assessments, screenings, observations, admissions, and clinical documentation.
Administer medications and monitor effectiveness, client response, and potential side effects.
Monitor and support withdrawal management, including CIWA, COWS, and other clinical assessment tools as appropriate.
Provide medication and health education to clients and families.
Support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers with assessments, medication management, and treatment planning.
Monitor changes in client condition and communicate significant clinical findings to the treatment team.
Maintain medications, medical equipment, and clinical supplies according to regulatory and organizational standards.

What You’ll Do

Interest or experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, withdrawal management, or addiction recovery is a plus.
