Job summary

Kauai Care Center in Waimea, Kaua'i Island, Hawaii, seeks an LPN or RN with an active Hawaii license to join our skilled nursing and rehabilitation team. The role requires weekend rotation and focus on resident well-being, medication administration, and nursing services.

You will supervise staff, follow infection control procedures, update care plans, and respond to health emergencies within RN scope. New grads welcome; current license in good standing is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Hawaii LPN or RN license in good standing.
• Weekend rotation availability required.
• Experience in patient care and staff supervision encouraged.

Responsibilities

As an LPN/RN, you are essential to quality resident care. Duties include medication assistance/administration, nursing services, training / supervising staff, and all things related to resident well-being.

You will:

• Assist residents with instrumental activities of daily living, ADLs, environmental orientation, assistance or administration with medication, treatments, and other care while encouraging self-care and independence, as permitted by state regulations
• Train staff and report to the director of nursing
• Ensure care as indicated on resident treatment and service plans
• Know and follow infection control and safety procedures
• Review, update and communicate resident care documentation
• Evaluate health emergencies to determine medical measures per RN scope of practice and state regulations
• Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents

You Currently:

• Possess a current LPN or RN license in good standing
• Typical candidates have 1-year of providing supervision in healthcare. New grads are encouraged to apply!
