Job summary

Kauai Care Center in Waimea, Hawaii seeks a Dietary Aide to prepare meals for residents, plate meals, fill requests, and maintain dishwashing and sanitation standards. The role requires weekend rotation availability and strong customer service in a senior-care setting.

Candidates should have or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s card, strong English communication skills, and a compassionate, home-like approach to resident care.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s card.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Demonstrates compassion and interest in working with the senior population.
• Maintains a clean, neat, comfortable, and safe demeanor.

- Must be Available for Weekend Rotation -

As a dietary aide, you will prepare food for residents and fill requests. You will also plate food, wash and sanitize dishes.

You Will:

• Ensure that condiment and beverage containers are clean and filled
• Assist with food preparation as needed
• Maintain infection control standards
• Plate food
• Wash and sanitize dishes
• Relate and communicate appropriately with residents, families, community members, volunteers, and other employees

You Currently:

• Can obtain Food Handler’s card
• Read, write, speak and understand English
• Lift and move up to 40 pounds
• Have compassion and interest in working with the senior population
