Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to support nursing leadership, staffing, and patient care quality at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The ANM will coordinate staffing, support throughput, and oversee compliance with nursing standards while mentoring frontline staff and leading performance improvement initiatives.

The role requires an RN with leadership experience, BSN progression, and a commitment to clinical excellence in a fast-paced hospital

Qualifications

Associate degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required.
BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within 3 years of hire (for hires after Feb 2025).
Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience in respective specialty or equivalent.
Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, and accountability for improving patient care.

Responsibilities

Participate with recruitment and retention strategies.
Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding with employees.
Participate in unit goals aligned with hospital goals and mission.
Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research.
Lead or participate in unit- or hospital-based shared governance committees or councils.
Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions and positive outcomes.
