Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to lead nursing teams, coordinate staffing, and support patient care quality. The ANM collaborates with Nurse leadership to implement the nursing strategic plan and improve throughput and safety across units.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license in New Jersey with at least 3 years of nursing leadership experience, a BSN in progress, and a commitment to staff development and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Jersey.
• Minimum 3 years of recent nursing experience in the specified specialty.
• BSN in progress or plan to acquire within 3 years of hire.
• Demonstrates fast learning, accountability, teamwork and commitment to ongoing education.

Responsibilities

• Participate in recruitment and retention strategies.
• Assist with unit huddles and leader rounding.
• Contribute to unit goals aligned with hospital mission and vision.
• Lead or participate in evidence-based practice projects or research.
• Contribute to shared governance committees or councils.
• Resolve conflicts and facilitate constructive resolutions.
• Complete employee corrective action plans as needed.
• Model organizational competencies and professional behavior.
• Conduct performance evaluations for assigned staff.
