Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Five years of experience in organ procurement or transplantation.
• Managerial experience in a clinical environment.
• Current RN licensure in the state.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the nursing component of the organ transplant program.
• Ensure nursing job satisfaction and fulfillment through coordinator responsibilities and workload.
• Ensure patient safety and quality assurance, especially for the Living Donor Program.
• Establish QA metrics and focus for clinical nurse coordinators.
• Coordinate with OR, ICUs and inpatient floors management.
• Supervise a multidisciplinary team and liaise between nursing, surgical and medical leadership.
• Drive excellence in heart transplant care.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
