Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Current RN license in Virginia or Multistate Compact.
• 3+ years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• 1 year of medical surgical, progressive care, or trauma telemetry nursing.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical management of the Medical Surgical Trauma unit during the shift.
• Mentor and support staff to deliver patient-centered care.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes for efficient throughput.
• Assess care quality and collaborate on service improvement with leadership.
• Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and performance development.
• Support staffing schedules and inventory management.

Education

BSN preferred

Virginia RN license or compact

3+ years acute care nursing

1 year MS/PCU or trauma telemetry

1 year leadership experience

BLS certification
