Job summary

Piedmont Newnan Hospital is seeking an experienced registered nurse to coordinate the delivery of quality nursing care during shifts for patients from birth through the lifecycle. The role includes providing clinical care as needed and communicating care plans, staff concerns, and operational issues to the appropriate leaders.

The RN will guide nursing teams, ensure patient safety, and promote evidence-based practice across units.

Qualifications

• RN - Registered Nurse licensure in Georgia
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• 1 year hospital nursing experience required
• 2+ years hospital nursing experience preferred
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support required
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification required prior to independent chemo administration
• NRP by end of orientation period required
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program within 12 months required
• PEARS Certification required
• PALS if unit cares for pediatric patients required
• ERC/ED certifications as applicable within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Coordinate delivery of quality nursing care during shift.
• Provide clinical care as needed to meet census demands.
• Communicate patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to leaders.
• Serve as resource and mentor for nursing staff.
