Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking a PRN nursing support role at METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER. You will assist with infant through adult patient care under the direction of the Nurse Manager or an assigned RN-Clinical Nurse, performing only RAO-listed skills.

Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program or a graduate, with BLS certification, and be board-eligible or registered. The position emphasizes patient care, cultural sensitivity, and adherence to MetroHealth standards.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited nursing program (or securing accreditation), completed fundamentals of nursing, and currently registered in clinical.
• Continuous enrollment in a nursing program or graduate of a nursing program and board eligible.
• BLS Certification from the AHA for the health care provider or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Eligibility to continue in the position lasts for a maximum of 6 months after graduation from nursing school.
• Ability to interact effectively with various cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Physical Requirements

May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. See in the normal visual range with or without correction. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Requires some exposure to chemicals and cleaning products.
