Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission in Waco, TX seeks a Nurse III with supervisory responsibilities to oversee nursing care across shifts. The role includes coordinating scheduling, supervising staff, and ensuring 24-hour continuity of care in collaboration with Nurse Coordinator and other leaders.

Qualified candidates will have RN licensure, a nursing program degree, and at least three years of experience, including psychiatric care exposure.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a Nursing Program accredited by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners is required.
• At least three (3) years' experience as a practicing registered nurse in a health agency, hospital, or health-care facility is required.
• Experience with a psychiatric population or severe and persistent mental illness is required.

Responsibilities

• Observe, assess, plan, intervene, evaluate outcomes and document patient care.
• Provide primary management for service area during assigned shift.
• May supervise, counsel, and evaluate other nursing staff.
