Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Nurse II (Part-Time/First Shift/Temporary-Benefited) to join the Diagnostic Radiology team. You will provide expert patient care, health teaching, and counseling while coordinating with physicians and licensed providers to carry out regimens and lead a nursing support team.

Qualifications

• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in NY.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing school; 1 year oncology or critical care; or 2 years medical-surgical experience in acute care.
• One-year full-time probationary period as Nurse II.
• Degrees must be from accredited institutions as per Roswell Park policy.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience

License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.

Education and Experience

1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time oncology nursing experience; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time critical care experience; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting; or
4. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.

NOTE:

1. Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II.
2. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
