Job summary

CHI Health is seeking a Regional Float Pool Nurse to deliver exceptional ICU care across multiple Omaha Metro locations. You will provide skilled patient care, maintain a positive attitude, and quickly adapt to staffing needs while upholding our policies and core values.

You must have RN licensure in NE/IA or a multi-state compact, BLS, ACLS on hire, and at least 2 years in ICU with ability to travel on short notice.

Qualifications

• RN with active licensure in Nebraska/Iowa or multi-state compact.
• BLS and ACLS certification required on hire.
• 2 years ICU experience and ability to travel to multiple metro facilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across multiple Omaha Metro locations as part of Regional Float Pool.
• Follow nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate; document care continuously.
• Support facilities with highest staffing needs and ensure policy compliance.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Regional Float Pool Nurse at CHI Health, you will bring your clinical expertise to provide exceptional patient care across multiple Omaha Metro locations.

• Follow the nursing process which includes: assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. The nursing process is an ongoing process that can end at any stage.
• Assessment - Demonstrates a systematic, dynamic way to collect and analyze the following healthcare consumer data including: psychological, physiological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic and lifestyle factors.
• Plan – Sets measurable and achievable short and long term goals according to standards of care based on the assessment by the nurse in collaboration with the healthcare consumer and multidisciplinary team.
• Implement – Implements and/or modifies the plan of care using assessment data, clinical reasoning based upon standards of care and evidence based practice. This includes care coordination, education and discharge planning. The nurse is accountable for the care directly, indirectly or through delegation. Professional and legal standards for delegation must be followed.
• Evaluate – Uses a systematic ongoing process to evaluate progress towards identified healthcare consumer goals. Revision of plan of care when needed involving the healthcare consumer and the multidisciplinary team.
• Documents all phases of the nursing process in the healthcare consumer’s record.

Your experience will be rewarded with 25% premium differentials, in addition to standard night and weekend pay. We are also offering a $6,000 Sign-On Bonus and up to $10,000 in Educational Assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

This Regional Float position will support our ICU departments.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an RN nursing program.
• Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, Iowa, or nurse licensure compact.
• Basic Life Support is required upon hire.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required upon hire
• Other credentials may be needed based on the level of care RN floats to.
• Ability to travel to multiple metro facilities as needed on short notice.
• 2 years of ICU experience

Preferred:

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing
