Job summary

Care Ring is seeking a Nurse Home Visitor for the Nurse Family Partnership program in Charlotte, NC. This 1.0 FTE exempt role delivers comprehensive nursing services to eligible women and families, with a caseload of 25 clients, following the NFP model.

The Nurse Home Visitor reports to the NFP Nurse Supervisor, completes required NFP training, and participates in ongoing professional development. Travel to training sessions may be required.

Qualifications

• Covid-19 vaccination required.
• Current unencumbered NC or SC RN license.
• BSN required.
• Current CPR required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and insured automobile.
• Flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred; fluency in Spanish if hired.
• Two years in maternal/child health or related fields preferred.
• Travel by air to Denver, CO for initial training.

Responsibilities

• Provides home visits to women and their families eligible for the NFP Program with caseload of 25 clients.
• Adheres to nursing process and NFP model of home visitation.
• Coaches others in the NFP vision and model with internal and external customers.
• Supports a positive work environment promoting productivity and teamwork.
• Develops therapeutic relationships and utilizes motivational interviewing in home visits.
