Job summary

CHI Health Mercy Council Bluffs seeks a Campus Float Nurse to provide high-quality patient care across multiple units. You will apply clinical expertise daily, building trust through a positive, reliable presence.

You will manage care for diverse disease processes, remaining calm and compassionate while coordinating with the care team. Premium differentials apply, plus night/weekend pay, with sign-on and education assistance where eligible.

Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in Nebraska/Iowa or compact.
• BLS required.
• ACLS required within 5 months of hire.
• One year RN experience preferred.
• Specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, CNOR, CEN) may be required for some areas.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients’ conditions and assess their needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to plan individualized care.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders.
• Foster a supportive, compassionate environment for patients and families.

As a Campus Float Nurse at CHI Health, you will bring your clinical expertise to provide exceptional patient care across multiple units.

Your success in this role comes from your knowledge to provide care to various disease processes in a variety of situations ranging from minor to critical while being able to consistently remain calm and positive.

• Monitoring patients’ conditions and assessing their needs
• Collaborating with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Administering patients’ medications and providing treatments according to physicians’ orders
• Fostering a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families

Your experience will be rewarded with premium differentials, in addition to standard night and weekend pay. We are also offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus and up to $10,000 educational assistance to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

• Active RN licensure in the state of Nebraska/Iowa or compact.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 5 months of hire

Preferred

• One year of RN experience preferred
• Specialty certification (ex: CCRN, CNOR, CEN)
• Additional certification or licensure may be required for some specialty areas.

Pay Range

$36.00 - $52.20 /hour
