Job summary

MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, MA is seeking a Nurse Extern to support Registered Nurses in med-surg units, including a primary stroke center and a long-term acute care unit. You will participate in patient care planning, observe and report findings, and assist the nursing staff with clinical tasks.

The role is designed for senior nursing students, offering expanded clinical exposure, collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and learning opportunities across a comprehensive care

Qualifications

• Enrollment in accredited RN program and upon completion of first clinical rotation.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Registered Nursing staff by performing patient care activities.
• Participate in patient care planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, reporting significant observations to a Registered Nurse.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to provide care in med-surg units including stroke center and long-term acute care.
• Performs related duties as required.
