Job summary

Presbyterian Santa Fe Medical Center in Santa Fe, NM, is seeking a Nurse Extern for the part-time program. You will support RNs with vital signs, meds, and wound care, and assist with basic patient care and mobility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Currently enrolled in a state approved nursing program.
• Must be eligible for graduation within 1 year (ADN) or within 18 months (BSN) or have 1 year healthcare work experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist RNs with patient care, vital signs, medications and wound care.
• Provide basic patient care such as bathing, feeding and mobility aid.
• Observe and document patient conditions and report changes.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality care.
